  • Sterming Place, located in the historic Sterming Block building, was built in 1889 and is located at 925 Water Street. This historically memorable building originally housed The Belmont Saloon – a gathering place for an eclectic mix of sea captains, cargo brokers, adventurers, and merchants. The building’s history and the distinctive metal and brick architecture add a rich and unique backdrop to any event.
  • With new ownership in 2018, an extensive restoration project was undertaken and included the facade of brick and metal, and the four-room Belmont Hotel on the second floor. This award-winning restoration was honored in 2020 with the State of Washington’s Excellence on Main Award. The renovations were completed on the main floor and basement in 2023 to create the Waterfront at Sterming Place.
